For 31 years, the heart of WEFN has been
families helping families.
But here’s something many people don’t realize:
When we apply for grants or seek sponsorships, we are asked one simple question—
“How many families do you actually represent?”
Not how many people have attended an event.
Not how many follow us online.
👉 How many are members.
That number matters. It’s what shows that WEFN is not just a good idea—but a trusted, community-backed organization representing families across Windsor-Essex.
We’ve made a deliberate choice to stay independent, so we can stand beside families, not systems.
But that also means we need to demonstrate our impact in a different way—and membership is how we do that.
A 2026 Membership is $20 per person
For those who cannot afford a membership, bursaries are available.
Note: Membership fees are eligible for a charitable tax receipt, as are any additional donations to the organization.
Let’s Smash a Record — Together
Windsor-Essex Family Network is a network of parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, and friends who believe in the inclusion and well-being of children and adults who have different abilities and challenges. More simply, we are a group of people who have a relative or friend who is living with a disability. We believe that everyone, with or without a disability, belongs in our neighbourhoods and communities.
We are families who share information and experiences with each other, provide emotional and practical support, develop briefs to tell government and others what we need, and create information to help other families on their journey. We are families and friends who care.

Become a Member!
Membership is only $20.00 for one individual and you will be issued a charitable receipt. Having a large membership gives ‘Family Network’ a stronger voice in advocacy and partnership.
